The ghosts are restless and SHE is only getting stronger. Can the curse be broken?

Rissa Whitley criticized her friends and co-workers for chasing ghosts at Spruce Road. Now, she hasn't heard from her brother, Nick, or any of the others in days. Her messages aren't delivering. Her gut tells her something has gone terribly wrong. It's not long before the same hooded figure who had directed her brother and friends to Spruce Road appears at her door in the heart of a storm to confirm her fears: everyone's dead.

Or maybe not everyone.

There may still be a chance to recover the survivors and calm the ghosts, for Rissa to bring Nick home. And, in the process, to release the mysterious hooded man from the curse that keeps him bound forever to an earth he long ago disavowed.

With help from the hooded man, her best friend, a stowaway, and the ghost hunters she meets along the way, Rissa sets out to save her brother and travels to the place she'd so recently sworn to avoid: The Little Maple Cabin on Spruce Road.
